We collect as little personal information as we can, and only what we need to reply to you and run pilots. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What this policy covers
This website, the expression of interest form, and emails you exchange with us. Monitoring data from a pilot is about equipment, not people; access to a pilot dashboard is covered by the pilot agreement with your site.
What we collect
- From the expression of interest form: your name, work email, company or organisation, role, and your answers to the questions for the option you chose.
- From emails and conversations: whatever you choose to tell us.
- Automatically: our web server records the technical details of each visit (IP address, browser type, pages requested and time) to keep the site secure and running. The bearing fault simulator runs in your browser; nothing you enter in it is sent to us.
We do not ask for sensitive information, and we ask you not to send it.
Why we collect it
- To reply to you and, if you want one, to discuss a pilot at your site.
- To email you pilot results, only if you ticked the box asking for them.
- To understand, in summary form, what sites need before a pilot makes sense. We look at answers across all responses; we do not publish anything that identifies you or your site.
- To keep the website secure.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or add you to a mailing list you did not ask to join.
Who sees it
- People at Senstrali who need it to reply to you.
- Our service providers, only to run the service they provide: our web server host, Vultr, which stores data in Australia; and our email provider, Google Workspace, which may store email in Australia and overseas, including the United States.
- Anyone we are required to disclose it to by law.
Where it is kept and how it is protected
Form submissions are stored on our server in Australia. The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to submissions is limited to the people who need it.
How long we keep it
- Form submissions and related emails: 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted, unless we are working together on a pilot.
- Pilot results emails: until you unsubscribe. Every results email includes a way to unsubscribe.
- Web server logs: 90 days.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Email privacy@senstrali.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
Questions and complaints
Contact privacy@senstrali.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
